Bertram

“Bertram” is the name of this dragon, created entirely out of paper and hot glue. He was created using the artist’s old childhood method of paper sculpting: Smooshigami. When he did not have the patience to learn origami, the artist created his own method of simply crumpling the paper into shape, dubbing it Smooshigami. This piece revived the old childhood technique and brought it to new heights, creating a huge paper dragon. This work embraces the creativity and innovation of childhood, fueling the artist’s inner child.
